The Orchid Skirt is named with love from my close friend and someone who I regard as one of my most important teachers, Hannah. Hannah is originally from Trinidad and hibiscus flowers are a welcome reminder of hime. This skirt feels like a second skin and I love to think about walking through a warm island breeze at night in this skirt. When I wear it, that’s where my head likes to drift to. The side slits of this skirt hit at just the right spot on the leg, giving a beautiful hint of skin. This is a skirt that can easily be dressed up or down and mixed and matched with other fabrics and textures. In addition to pairing it with any of the Gardenia crops, I love the idea of pairing this with a simple soft tank top, a top with a beautiful print and voluminous sleeves, and in colder months, a cropped chunky sweater with the front tucked in.
